Format

Quality · 90% (JPG, WebP)

Images are resampled with the browser's high quality filter. PNG stays lossless. Photos are turned upright as the camera took them, and the camera's data (date, place, device) isn't kept in the files written.

How to resize images

  1. Drop your images on the page or choose them: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP or HEIC.
  2. Resize by a percentage, to a width and height, or to a longest side.
  3. Keep each image's format or write them as JPG, PNG or WebP.
  4. Compare each with its original, then download them one by one or in a ZIP archive.

Questions

Can I resize many images at once?

Yes, every image you add is resized the same way, and they can be downloaded together in a ZIP archive.

Will my image be stretched?

No, unless you ask for it: with a width and a height, an image is fitted inside them or fills them and is cropped to the center. Giving only a width or a height keeps the proportions.

Can I make an image larger?

Yes, if you allow enlarging; a larger image looks softer, as it has no more detail than the original.

Is the quality kept?

Images are resampled with the browser's high quality filter; PNG stays lossless, and JPG and WebP are written at the quality you set (90 % at first).

Are my images uploaded?

No. They're resized by your browser, on your device.
